Under arm

The hairs under your arm can be very noticeable even when short, particularly if you have darker hairs growing in that area.

This means regular treatment and maintenance of the area is needed, and waxing helps to increase the time needed between each treatment session.

Bikini waxing

A bikini wax removes hair only from the front. There are two types of bikini waxes: a bikini full wax and a bikini line wax.

A bikini full wax removes as little or as much hair from the front as you want, whereas a bikini line wax is a basic tidying and only removes the hair that peeks out of the bikini area.

Waxing Q&A

1. HOW LONG SHOULD MY HAIR BE BEFORE WAXING?

For optimal results, at least a quarter of an inch long. Allowing the wax to grip the hair effectively makes the removal process smooth and efficient.

2. IS WAXING PAINFUL?

Pain tolerance tends to vary from person to person. However, most describe waxing as a quick and very tolerable experience.

3. HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET WAXED?

We recommend it after every 4–6 weeks, depending on your hair growth cycle. Consistency waxing can lead to finer and sparser hair regrowth over time.

4. IS WAXING SAFE FOR ALL SKIN TYPES?
  • Waxing is safe for all skin types, but individuals with sensitive skin can opt for a hypoallergenic wax! Always inform your therapist of any skin conditions or allergies before your session.

5. WHAT IS THE AFTER CARE?

– Avoiding working out
– Avoid hot baths & saunas
– Avoid wearing tight clothing
– Avoid sexual activity for at least 24 hours

6. IS IT OKAY TO WAX BETWEEN WAX APPOINTMENTS?

No, we highly discourage shaving in between! Waxing slows down and reduces hair growth. Hair also grows out much thinner, thus making it easier to remove and less painful when getting waxed. Shaving just one time in between will invalidate all that is gained from waxing and can further irritate follicles, which can cause ingrown hair.

7. WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER WAXING?

The skin may be red for up to 24 hours and tender for up to a couple of days. This all depends on your skin’s sensitivity.

8. WHAT IS THE PRE-WAX PREPARATION?

– Stop shaving/plucking 2 weeks prior to your wax.
– Gently exfoliate the area that will be waxed the day before your appointment.
Skin can be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle, so consider booking in between your cycles.
– Worried about pain, take an ibuprofen an hour before your wax appointment.
